I’m a Fintech UX/UI Designer at TDECU.

But I didn’t start there.

For years I had been a professional figure skating coach with a successful coaching business. Through running that business, I discovered the world of UX/UI when building my first ever website to market my coaching. I fell in love with the process and become obsessed with optimizing what I now understand to be the “user experience.” That initial spark led me to pursue a Certificate in UX/UI Design from Rice University and launched me into a whole new career.

I’ve always been passionate about helping people navigate their financial journeys. I appreciate the importance of tracking finances well, which is something I’ve enjoyed doing personally and professionally; whether for my coaching business or my own life. At TDECU, Houston’s largest credit union, I bring that passion to making money management simpler and more intuitive for members.

Along the way, I’ve also worked with several start up companies: City Flavor and InjureFree. At City Flavor I worked to enhance their food truck ordering platform. At InjureFree, I’m designing a web-based SaaS dashboard for the My Sports Center and Sport Credential Center; platforms that help users manage safety compliance and credentials in youth sports environments.

Across every project, I bring a human-centered mindset, a love for problem-solving, and a strong desire to create products that are both useful and meaningful.

How my ideas turn into experiences.

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all design process. My approach is fluid, with steps that adapt to the unique demands of each project. This empathy allows me to craft a compelling narrative that inspires solutions tailored to the user’s needs, resulting in beautiful and effective designs.

As a skater and choreographer, I understand the value of artistry and crafting a storyline that engages the user just like an audience. These soft skills are bolstered by a lifetime of training discipline to set goals, analyze technical issues, develop pathways forward and persevere to success.

How my interests fuel my design journey.

Outside of design, I’m always seeking inspiration through movement, exploration, and creativity.

Traveling gives me new perspectives and sparks my curiosity.

Coaching figure skaters challenges me to communicate clearly and empathetically.

Performing has taught me the power of storytelling and self-expression.

And let’s be honest—trying new food is just plain fun (Houston has so much to offer).
