I’m a Fintech UX/UI Designer at TDECU.

But I didn't start here.

Before designing digital experiences, I spent years in the figure skating world as a competitive athlete, coach, and event director. Through coaching more than 100 skaters and managing large-scale productions, I developed a passion for understanding people, solving complex problems, and creating experiences that help others succeed.

That curiosity ultimately led me to UX design. While building my first business website, I became fascinated by the way thoughtful design could influence behavior, guide decisions, and shape someone's experience. I pursued a UX/UI Design Certificate from Rice University and discovered a career that perfectly blended creativity, strategy, and human-centered problem solving.

Today, I work as a UX/UI Designer at TDECU, Houston's largest credit union, where I design digital experiences that help members confidently manage their financial lives. I have also contributed to product experiences for startups including City Flavor and InjureFree, designing solutions for mobile ordering, sports safety compliance, and credential management.

Alongside my professional work, I am currently earning my Master of Science in Information Design and Strategy at Northwestern University with a specialization in UX/UI Design. The program has strengthened my expertise in user research, information architecture, and strategic design thinking, helping me create solutions that balance business goals with real user needs.

Across every project, I bring the same mindset that shaped my athletic career: curiosity, discipline, empathy, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Whether I'm conducting research, designing interfaces, or testing new ideas, I'm driven by creating experiences that are both meaningful and impactful.

How my ideas turn into experiences.

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all design process. My approach is fluid, with steps that adapt to the unique demands of each project. This empathy allows me to craft a compelling narrative that inspires solutions tailored to the user’s needs, resulting in beautiful and effective designs.

As a skater and choreographer, I understand the value of artistry and crafting a storyline that engages the user just like an audience. These soft skills are bolstered by a lifetime of training discipline to set goals, analyze technical issues, develop pathways forward and persevere to success.

How my interests fuel my design journey.

Outside of design, I’m always seeking inspiration through movement, exploration, and creativity.

Traveling gives me new perspectives and sparks my curiosity.

Coaching figure skaters challenges me to communicate clearly and empathetically.

Performing has taught me the power of storytelling and self-expression.

And let’s be honest—trying new food is just plain fun (Houston has so much to offer).
